In today's computer age it's easy to rely on the internet for research, how-to guides, advice, shopping, entertainment, etc. It also comes in very handy for busy cooks looking for quick and easy stewing beef curry slow cooker for dinner, or for experimental cooks to find a new gourmet recipe to try out. Your cookbooks can't analyze what is in your pantry and come up with a recipe to match, nor can it help you select what to make for supper based on cooking method, time, etc. But the internet sure can!

Why that's advisable: Variety is important because it prevents boredom, which is a cause for giving up on dieting. Nobody wants to eat grilled chicken with steamed vegetables every meal, and if you try to force yourself to comply, you'll end up eating a slow cooker braised beef and rosemary pasta sauce before the end of the week.

I recommend you try it sometime and sometime soon. Go to the store and buy the basic things you want in a stew, maybe try ONE new thing. You don't want to experiment with more than one thing at a time. Cut your veggies, throw them in the cooker and let it do its thing. That is the beauty of the slow cooker is that it does all the work stewing steak for you!

Shellfish does not combine well with long cooking times, so if you want to add some to a stew or soup recipe, add it near the end of the cooking time so it can warm through. Shrimp can be added to crockpot chowders, soups or stews. You can either add them in their shells or de-shelled. Gumbo and jambalaya are slow cooker braising steak and you can add some tasty shrimp to these, whether you make them on the stove or slow cook them. Clams and mussels are good for making stews, especially when you use a tomato or white wine based sauce.

Heartburn and acid reflux, is caused when stomach acid reflexes back into the esophagus, causing pain that can last for a few minutes or a few hours. Usually some foods people eat is what will cause the heartburn, but fortunately, there are foods that can help acid reflux.

This recipe is very easy to adjust to your liking. If you want to add other ingredients, that is fine. Some people enjoy tomatoes in their beef stew. My family prefers it without, and that is why I did not include tomatoes. Some people do not like peas, but I love the flavor and color they add to the stew. Some people throw in a bit of chopped celery, which is something I do from time to time.

Leftovers are great, if you have any to save! The soup will thicken up in your fridge overnight. If it becomes too thick add a little more broth. I don't recommend freezing it if you've used noodles or root vegetables, as they tend to get mushy. The beef, broth and spices can be made in advance and frozen, though. Just add your favourite pasta braising beef cubes vegetables, or beans and a bit of rice. Warm slowly on the stove or in the microwave.
